There’s an old adage that says there’s no time like the present – and when it comes to making your holiday plans for 2012, this couldn’t be more accurate.
That’s because there are a host of holiday companies offering massive savings on bookings through their websites – as long as you apply the travel and holiday voucher codes that are available at Moneysaver.ie. Here we take a look at what’s available and offer some additional ways to save on your flights, hotels and holidays.
Holiday voucher codes
Travel companies know that when the festivities of Christmas are over with for another year, we all want something new to look forward to – and the prospect of a holiday on the horizon usually fits that bill. That’s why many of them use January to offer some unique deals and make sure they grab your business.
Take for example Lowcostholidays.com. It is currently offering several money-off deals through Moneysaver.ie – including £25 off ski holidays with a £500 minimum spend (this offer expires on February 29). If skiing isn’t your thing, then you needn’t worry because you can also get £20 off any bookings with a minimum £600 spend as long as you use the Lowcostholidays.com voucher code available at Moneysaver.ie (this offer expires on January 31). Remember that Lowcostholidays.com provides everything you need for a holiday – from flights to accommodation, to all those extras like airport shuttles. As such you may quickly spend the amount of money required to activate this voucher code.
It’s not the only holiday company offering great deals, however. For example, there is an Opodo voucher code, offering £25 off all pre-paid hotels with spend of £250 or more. Meanwhile, ebookers.ie has got in on the act with a host of offers and deals with several relating to destinations including: Thailand, Dubai, Costa del Sol, the Algarve, London and Glasgow. Bear in mind however, that most of these deals expire at the end of the month so you must act fast.
Further ways to save
While capitalising on voucher codes is one way to save on holiday bookings, it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Make sure you use a comparison website to compare quotes for flights and accommodation. Also apply the same ethic to holiday extras such as airport parking, airport transfers and particularly travel insurance. Many holiday companies include travel insurance in the cost of a package deal – but you can often find far cheaper insurance, with cover just as extensive, by shopping around independently.
