The idea of “January sales” is somewhat misleading – because savvy consumers will know that as soon as Christmas Day has passed, the race to capitalise on some incredible bargains is ON.
Thankfully you no longer have to queue outside the shops from 6am to get a good deal – nor do you have to climb over the masses as we swarm likes bees to honey towards a discounted offer. Instead, you can get the best bargains all from the comfort of your own home – and indeed these online deals will often beat what you can find in store.
What’s available?
A quick check at Irish voucher code website Moneysaver.ie will give you an idea of what’s available. It has categories for voucher codes from a number of retailers – so whether you’re looking for electronics, fashion, or even Christmas gifts for next year, you should find the best deals here.
For example, computing giant Dell has a number of fantastic voucher codes available – but they all expire on Wednesday, December 28, so you must act fast. Among them is: 15 per cent off any system above €599; 20 per cent off selected 23’ and 24’ monitors; 10 per cent off all Inspirion and XPS orders; and free shipping on all XPS desktops and notebooks.
However, the offers from Dell merely scratch the surface of the voucher codes out there. Others include: £50 off Nikon 1 J1 Cameras; and £20 off any orders over £300 from Lawn Mowers UK. Be aware that both of these voucher codes expire on New Year’s Eve – so don’t wait for January to start your shopping.
Sales time
It’s not just voucher codes that make this a great time to shop – there are also some incredible offers and sales available from several top retailers.
For example, Debenhams is offering 70 per cent off at its Debenhams Ireland website in what is its biggest ever sale. You can also get up to 50 per cent off from Hard Cloud; 50 per cent off at I Want One of Those; and up to 50 per cent off in the Coast sale.
So whether you’re spending that Christmas money; or just looking to pick up the gifts you expected but didn’t receive on the big day; don’t wait for the New Year’s celebrations – act fast and you can finish the year on a high.
